Tired of getting wax residue from between the letters/numbers of your hood emblems?  Frustrated with hitting the hood with your California Duster and snagging and breaking the emblem?  Here is a cool solution.  These vinyl hood emblems look like chrome and retain the factory looking appearance of the stock hood emblems without the hassle.

INSTALLATION

The letters are individual, but there is a piece of translucent
backing material applied so they stay in position.  To install and have the
best possible alignment you will need to use some "solution" (a pint of
water, few drops of liquid soap) to wet the hood and sticker so you'll
have a few minutes to slide it around before it sets.  Once the
emblem is in place, "squeegee" the water out with a bondo spreader or old
credit card and let it dry good.  After it's good and dry, carefully
peel off the backing paper at an extreme angle, while watching the
letters to be sure the edges don't get pulled up.  

Once the letters arestuck (and they do stick - VERY WELL!) 
they can be washed and waxed over.
