Often overlooked by vendors are the 84-5 Turbo Regals. Commonly referred to as "HOT AIR" cars by Buick enthusiasts, they do not have an intercooler like their 86-7 counterparts. We have come up with products specifically for these vehicles in addition to our products for the intercooled Turbo Regals. Of course, the some of the products we make for the 86-7 cars will fit the 84-5's as well so be sure to check out all of the pages on our site!

Due to the lower demand for cold air kits for the non-intercooled 84-5 Turbo Regals, we keep a smaller amount of kits in stock. Allow at least two weeks for delivery of this item.

Ok, hot air owners, you asked for it and here it is. A Big Mouth Cold Air System for your cars. Based on the Big Mouth Cold Air Induction System that we have been making for the 86-7 intercooled cars, our Cold/Hot Air System is now in production for the 84-5 Turbo Regals! The Hot Air cars never seem to get the same respect that the intercooled cars get but we aim to help you get all the cold air into your turbo as possible without an intercooler. Our complete system has a 9" K&N cone filter that sits behind the driver's side headlights. Totally hidden from view, it picks up cool air from outside the motor compartment. The opening in the filter is 4" which will supply all the air your turbo will ever need. A rubber 90 degree elbow passes thru the existing hole in the radiator support and a 4" pipe attaches to your MAF sensor with a 4" to 3" adapter. From the MAF sensor, a smooth 90 degree pipe replaces the accordion style stock hose to the Throttle Body. Available in 16 gauge aluminum OR Chrome plated steel for looks as well as performance. Everything is included in the kit including clamps, connectors and instructions. If you order the kit without the filter just be aware that the usual K&N cone filters will NOT work with this kit unless it has a 4"opening. NOTE!

This kit does not have provisions for the tube that goes from the stock oil filler to the MAF pipe. I suggest that you either cap off the tube or run an aftermarket valve cover breather.

Just a quick explaination of the materials used in our cold air kits. We have discontinued our aluminized steel elbows and have replaced them with ACTUAL 16 gauge aluminum mandrel bent elbows. This finish is not the most show worthy material as it may have scratches and small imperfections but gets the job done. If you are not concerned about looks but are concerned with getting the lightest cold air kit then this is the material for you. Not that it looks bad but in my opinion it is not show worthy unless you rub out the finish with any good metal polish or paint it.

Now the chrome pipes used, that's another story. These are triple plated chrome steel and are definitely show-worthy right out of the box! Since they are steel I coat the insides with POR-15 after careful prepping with "Metal Prep" to remove any rust and to prevent any future rust problems.

Some of my customers have requested that I sell the system without the 90 Degree MAF pipe that goes to the throttle body. If you want to continue to use your existing plastic MAF pipe you can now order the Big Mouth kit without the MAF pipe below.
