REPLACE YOUR
STOCK OIL COOLER LINES |
We are now offering an oil cooler line kit to replace
your 20 year old stock lines on the 86-7 Turbo Regals. We are
using push lock type fittings with -8 size hose. These black
nitrile rubber high tensile hoses have a 1/2" inside diameter and
can be ordered with your choice of red/blue fittings or black
fittings. I really like these fittings as they have a fake end
piece that covers the connection to give a finished look unlike other
push-loc type fittings on the market.
The toughest part of coming up with these kits is finding the special
adapter fittings to hook up to the oil cooler that is in the
radiator. The two necessary fittings are very expensive and hard
to find. Unfortunately makes the kit a bit on the expensive side.
On the up side, there is no shopping around for all the various
fittings, hose and adapters. We do that for you! The kits
are available unassembled or fully assembled.
The kits are easy to install. Disconnect the lines going to the
radiator, then disconnect the lines going to the oil cooler adapter the
oil filter is mounted too. The last part of the disassembly is
removing the hose adapters that are screwed into the oil cooler adapter.
You then replace the stock adapters with the 1/2" NPT straight
adapters of the kit. Then install the special adapters into the
radiator. Assemble your hoses and then install. If you
ordered the assembled kit, just screw your hoses to the adapters and you
are done. Start the motor and verify that you have oil pressure
and check for leaks.
