PLEASE NOTE! These cutouts require that you have exhaust dump pipe(s) installed on your exhaust system. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery of these items. ATTENTION CANADA CUSTOMERS! From now on we will only ship to Canada via UPS ground or Global Express mail PLUS an extra $20 charge for Canadian shipping. If you are still interested in ordering this product you must email us first about it to get the actual charge for sending to Canada. This is beyond our control as we have recently lost two orders to Canada. Apparently someone in customs likes our cutouts!
LEGAL DISCLAIMER Please note that for legal purposes that this cutout is recommended for vehicles that are used in off-road situations like racing. Dump pipes that replace the catalytic converter are illegal for street use in most states. The increased decibel levels when running the exhaust cutout in the open position may get you a ticket for a loud exhaust! What you do with it is up to you. PRICES STARTING AT $189.95 FOR A
SINGLE CUTOUT.
INTRODUCING! 4" SINGLE CUTOUTS! Same design as the rest of the cutouts we sell, just huge for your turbo diesel truck. Includes a 3 bolt flange for connecting it to a 4" y-pipe which YOU will have to have fabricated. Also includes a 15' wiring harness with double momentary switch. ALSO AVAILABLE IN A DUAL SYSTEM TOO.
One thing that always bugged me about my Grand National is how quiet it is. We just don't command the respect of say a 69 big block Camaro rumbling into a cruise nite or show. Sure, you can put on a 3" single shot exhaust like I did at one time but the sound from that gets old real quick! I have since switched my GN to a Hooker cat-back dual exhaust with Aero Chamber mufflers. Louder than stock but not as annoying as the 3" single shot exhaust but it just doesn't announce your presence like a louder exhaust. Wouldn't you like to have it both ways? Make your car loud when you want to and then quiet it up when out with the family or coming home late at night so you don't annoy the neighbors? This will get the crowd's attention at car events and it also lets you open up the exhaust to decrease backpressure when racing without crawling under the car. The electric cutout bolts on to any dump pipe using a standard, 3-bolt header flange! With a flick of the switch you can go from quiet to LOUD in about 3 seconds. While fully open it can be quite loud but you can also stop the cutout wherever you want to get the exact exhaust note that you are looking for. I usually run mine about 1/3 of the way open. This setup is top notch in machining and wiring. It also seals very well when closed which is what I have been looking for in an exhaust cutout. I would not sell a product that I wouldn't use on my own car. The wiring harness is a work
of art! You can even disconnect the cutout and remove it from the car as
it has a plug about 6" off the motor. Very important if you have to go
for emissions testing or vehicle inspections! I have been running one on my GN now for three years and it is cool to open it up when pulling into a show or on the open road. My wife likes a quiet car, so for normal cruising around with her and my son in the car, I keep it shut. If I come up in back of a Mustang though, I will open it up and usually scare the wits out of the driver. Lots of fun! NOTES!
NEED EXHAUST DUMPS TO HOOK UP OUR CUTOUTS?
DUAL EXHAUST INFO The dual exhaust for V-8 cars/trucks comes complete with two of the pictured cutouts and are tied together to one switch through the wiring harness. This allows both cutouts to work together so they will be opened and closed the same amount. OPERATION OF CUTOUT Very simple! You have one double momentary switch to operate, press one way to open and the other way to close. Let off the button when you get to the sound you want. YES! You don't have to open the cutout all the way if you don't want to. Tune it to where it sounds the best to you. It only takes a couple of seconds to go from fully open to closed. We do not recommend holding the button longer than 5 seconds at a time and it is not necessary to do that. Once you operate it a few times you will be able to hear when it is fully closed or open.
