To the right is a 4" Chrome inlet pipe installed on Scott Atkinson's TR along
with our Big Mouth Cold Air Kit.  Below is an email I recently received from Scott.

Hi Mark, I had a new best time at the 2004 Vegas event. 10.20 @ 133.4 through the "Big Mouth" I even had a supposed "guru" tell me how it was a restriction. Of course that was before he knew I was running 3 tenths faster than he was with a smaller turbo.  Thanks very much for the outstanding products and support.
Scott Atkinson

NOTE!  Scott's TR is now in the 9's!

NOW AVAILABLE IN POLISHED ALUMINUM TOO!

Our 4" inlet pipes are available in 16 gauge aluminum or chrome plated steel. Instead of using a bent piece of pipe that rarely fits correctly, we use a straight piece of pipe and make up connecters to get the correct angles for a perfect fit.  These compliment and ensure an exact fit when used with our Big Mouth Cold Air Induction Systems for the 86-7 Intercooled Turbo Regals. If you don't want to use this in conjunction with my cold air kit I will need you to contact me on what you are planning to use on the air filter end of the pipe.  If you are buying the inlet pipe separately, it will include connectors  for the turbo and one for connecting an air filter. A short sleeve will be included also. Some guys have just put a filter on the end of the pipe but the connector I include is angled for extra clearance.   Click here for more info on materials used.

These are being made up after receiving numerous requests from customers running a DFI or Fel-Pro engine management system with larger turbos using a 4" inlet.

Clearance is real tight to the up pipe and I would also recommend relocating your IAC sensor as it would be right up against the rubber connecter that goes to the turbo.  Never could figure out why Buick designed it this way.  It is easy to relocate the IAC with an ANGLE BOSS available from www.BOPengineering.com.  This aluminum block makes the IAC angle over towards the driver's side of the car making servicing this device a lot easier.  I would recommend one even if you are running a 3" MAF pipe.

4" MAF PIPES ALSO AVAILABLE

I have been supplying customers with 4" MAF pipes to be used with MAF sensors recently.  They have 4" inlet turbos but have chosen to still run either a stock or Chevy MAF sensor.  Just let me know when ordering if this is what you are running and I can supply a short insert to go inside the 4" connector that will allow you to connect to a smaller MAF.

Running a 3" inlet turbo?  We came across these 4" to 3" silicone connectors that will offer a smooth transition to the smaller inlet turbos.  This is an option to go with our 4" MAF and Inlet pipes.  Be sure to check off this option if you need this connector or you will be shipped our standard 4" connector.
