After many requests for hood mounted fuel pressure kits we finally will
be offering them. We have been selling hood mounted gauge brackets
for a while now and our kit will be including one of these. Made
of steel and black powder coated, these brackets are designed to be used
with Autometer 2 1/16" gauge pod supplied with the kit.
The brackets are pre-drilled for mounting under the hood and also have
special rivets installed for mounting the gauge pod. Gauge brackets are also available separately on
this page of the site. BRACKETS
The
gauge included in the kit is Autometer's black 100 lb gauge with white
letters and red needle. Looks great with the black gauge pod and
bracket. The kit is available WITHOUT the gauge if you want to use
a different one.
We use a 48" length of -4
Speed-flex braided hose assembled with two 180 degree plain finish
fittings. We pressurize and check the
hose for leaks before shipping .The hose attaches to the end of the fuel rail.
IMPORTANT! For the gauge to work you will have to relieve the
pressure in the fuel rail AND then permanently remove the Schrader valve
in the end of the rail. (same as removing the valve in a tire
stem.) We make the hose longer than kits of the past so you have
more options for routing of the hose If you want to shorten the
hose, this is how we assemble them.

DISCLAIMER!
Since you will be working with fuel, this kit is recommended to be
installed by a qualified person. Like any other high performance
product. We are not responsible for any damages caused by the
installation of this kit. Also be aware that the cover for the
main stud on your alternator may be missing, you don't want to hit that
stud with wrenches or the braided line during the installation. We
recommend disconnecting the negative battery cable when installing the
kit.
We are selling these in single gauge
configuration. The brackets are bent specifically to fit the contours of
the TR hood and will clear your windshield wipers as long as you are
careful with where you mount it and how you route your hose.
